Dr. Kristen Nelson received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. She graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Public Health. In practice, Dr. Kristen likes to utilize a variety of techniques and therapies to meet the specific needs of each patient. In addition to chiropractic adjustments, she also uses other tools and therapies such as Cold Laser, Arthro-Stim adjuster, Activator, Hypervolt, and Adhesion Breaker Tools.
She has received advanced training to work with pregnant women and is certified in the Webster Technique. She also continues to complete additional coursework in Endocrinology, Cold Laser Therapy / Photobiomodulation, Functional Medicine, Perinatal and Pediatric care, and Pelvic Health to better serve her patients. She is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and the Florida Chiropractic Association.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Services
On your first visit, Dr. Kristen will perform a thorough health history, posture analysis, neurological and orthopedic examination. She will then go over the findings with you and create a personalized care plan with recommendations to help you reach your health goals. This initial visit will include your first adjustment and therapies if deemed appropriate.
During follow-up visits, Dr. Kristen will check how your body is progressing and will provide chiropractic adjustments and therapies if necessary. Each visit will be tailored to you and your individual needs so you can feel better faster.
Chiropractic Adjustments
Dr. Kristen at Glow Chiropractic aims to improve the function of your spine and body through specific chiropractic adjustments. When the spine is functioning properly, it often results in decreased pain, increased range of motion and overall improvement in health.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Webster Technique for Pregnant Women
Chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.
Sacral dysfunction may contribute to difficult labor for the mother caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral dysfunction may have a positive effect on all of these factors.

After years of fertility struggles, Dr. Nelson suggested I try Webster technique to help helped me prep for my upcoming IVF with Webster technique. She then did Logan immediately afterwards, to help me with my anxiety so that my stress hormones wouldn’t interfere with implantation. When I told her the fertility treatment and chiro combo worked, she literally jumped up and down! I’m continuing with Webster now and she helps my morning sickness with the laser. I enjoy her energy, her enthusiasm, and her conversation. It made such a difference to have her support and encouragement through this time in my life. I highly recommend anyone trying to conceive to come see her!!
